Chris Avery took up playing guitar in high school and instantly regretted not listening to his parents lecture that he would be "sorry layer on " when he quit music lessons in elementary school. He has since made up for the mistake and studies music with a variety of teachers for guitar, bass and vocals. Chris’ first collaborative experience was in college in a parody band that was ahead of its time and even 5 years ahead of Weird Al himself. (He still has a CD and says that the words would make a sailor blush). Chris met Peter back in 2006 and he, Pike and Peter formed The Crab Shack Band. He loves the opportunity to play both bass and guitar in the band. Chris' other interests include his family, fitness (5 Marathons), golf and his very busy career selling group reservation technology in the meetings industry.
